Meeting Midwifery Records Requirements (MMRR)

Our course is designed to be as practical as possible. Completing the Meeting Midwifery Records Requirements course will provide you with:

  • A greater understanding of record keeping requirements (and what's not a requirement)
  • Tools to reflect on and improve your current documentation practice
  • Increased awareness of the challenges of working in the digital world
  • Greater confidence that your record keeping meets legal and professional requirements

The course was approved by Midwifery Council for 8 hours CPD. (approval is no longer required)

To minimise the impact on your practice, the course takes place over two half days, three weeks apart. This gives an added bonus of time to reflect on, and use the knowledge from the first part of the course. This ensures discussions during part two are robust and practical.

Utilising zoom means you can complete the course from anywhere, save travel costs and time.

Cost: $220 plus GST

Available Dates (Meeting Midwifery Records Requirements)

MMRR Course 19 (due to other commitments this will be our last course for the foreseeable future)

  • Part One - Wednesday 6th November 2024, 9:00am - 1:30pm
  • Part Two - Wednesday 27th November 2024, 9:00am - 1:30pm

See bottom of page for registration link.

Why is it spread over two days?

This gives you a chance to reflect on the practicalities of the things you've learned from the first part of the course, as well as aspects of your own documentation practice. We will also provide you with some examples to review.

The insights gained during this time results in more robust and realistic discussions about real world challenges, moving the course away from theory into practice.

Half days make it easier for you to stay engaged, and to be less disruptive to your normal routine.

Can several of us from our practice sign in together?

This is an interactive course and we use breakout rooms, so it works best if you are signed in individually.

What happens if I'm unable to attend on the day?

You can transfer to another available date at no additional cost.

Do I need the Zoom app?

Your invitation will contain a link to the session which can be accessed without the app.

Not all zoom features are available outside of the app, so we recommend installing the app, but its not strictly necessary.

Can I do this course on my phone or iPad?

As we use a lot of visuals in the course, the bigger the screen you have the better.

If possible, the best option is to attend using a PC or laptop. We would not recommend using your phone.

What information will I get before the course?

We will send you a registration confirmation email with all the details you need and an invoice.

We'll also send several reminders before the course.

If you have any questions at all, contact us.

Introduction to Effective Time Management for Midwives

This short introductory course (appx 3 hours) is designed to increase your understanding of time management challenges/impacts and introduce you to effective time management tools that will get you thinking and making changes.

It will include time management tools I learned on a course which now costs over $2,000 +GST per person. They made a profound impact on the way I do things, I still use these tools and have passed them on to my teams for 20+ years.

We used a midwifery lens in designing our course. We've added to the tools above, and utilise collaborative learning to focus on time management challenges faced by midwives and the resulting impacts.

Change is a process not an event - It takes time. Whether you are a new grad or an experienced midwife, if you feel that you'd like to manage your time better then this course could be 3 hours very well spent!

After the Introduction to Effective Time Management for Midwives course you should have:

  • A shared understanding of the time management challenges faced by midwives
  • A number of tools at your disposal to apply to your specific time management challenges

Business coaching is also available if you want assistance to work through your individual time management challenges.

Utilising zoom means you can complete the course from anywhere, save travel costs and TIME.

Cost: $120 plus GST

This course is NOT approved for CPD hours but can be used towards your 8 hour elective education requirement.
